Can I do the defragmentation of database file in SQL Server 2000, not for in

Is the only way to export data from the database and then import back into t
he database? If so, how to do it?

t files in an image column of a table. is the approach of exporting and impo
rting data records from the table a good way to defragment the table? if so,
is it possible to export t
he data records as a flat file to a tape drive.
thanks.

Check the fragmentation for those tables using the below command
dbcc showcontig('table_name')
If the scan desity is too bad then execute
DBCC DBREINDEX('table_name')
for those table with high fragmentation.
Note:
It is not required to export and import data for tables.
